1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sage ("the Service"), including the Sage Chrome Extension and the Sage web application at sagerecipes.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Sage is an AI-powered tool that analyzes recipes and suggests healthier alternatives with nutritional comparisons. The Service includes a Chrome Extension for extracting recipes from web pages and a web application for viewing, managing, and sharing healthified recipes.

3. Accounts and Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account using an email address or Google sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Credits and Payments

Sage uses a credit-based system. New accounts receive a limited number of free credits. Additional credits can be obtained through a Pro subscription or one-time purchases.

• Free credits are provided at sign-up and are non-refundable.
• Pro subscriptions renew monthly and can be cancelled at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Unused subscription credits do not roll over.
• Purchased credits do not expire and are non-refundable except where required by law.

All payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent credit limits, rate limits, or other usage restrictions
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Synapsed and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the recipes you submit for analysis.

Healthified recipe output generated by the Service is provided for your personal use. When you share a recipe via the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display that recipe on sagerecipes.app.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Nutritional information and recipe suggestions are generated by AI and third-party APIs and may not be accurate. Sage is not a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have food allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any nutritional data or recipe modifications will be complete or accurate.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Synapsed and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and disclaimers) will remain in effect.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
